Moar Paintings!

Been doing more painting since I watched the Schoolism Painting with Light and Color class with Dice Tsutumi and Robert Kondo. Really fun and educational video series. Highly recommend it!

First is a still life I did a while back
The next three are John Singer Sargent master studies

Store 104

Here was a project I did of multiple assets. I used 3DS Max, ZBrush, Ddo, Ndo, Photoshop, and B2M. Rendered in Marmoset. I believe the whole scene was about 14k or so tris.

It's a post-apocalyptic store idea I had. Excited for the new Fallout.

Master study thumbnails

Just did some quick thumbnails of paintings by professional artists to study their approach to color and composition. Fun and insightful! Also really beautiful works by the original artists.

1. Zealand Landscape. Open Country in New Zealand 1842 by Johan Thomas Lundbye
2. Canyon de Chelly 1916 by Edgar Payne
3. Monoliths by Glenn Dean
4. Mary's Lake by Clyde Aspevig
5. Canyon de Chelly by Edgar Payne
6. Edgar Payne (Sorry couldn't find the name )

Substance Designer 5 Textures

I have been learning about Substance Designer 5 and I am having a lot of fun with it! I am planning on doing some stuff with Substance Painter once my free trial ends. I'll probably end up buying both at some point.

Some Cafe Sketches

I like people sketching, especially at Cafes. I have tried to sketch all the baristas at a local cafe. I'm sorry if one of you somehow stumbled upon my blog and are offended. Please don't sue/kill me.

HK Compact Pistol

Wow. So this project took a lot longer than I thought it would. I tried a different modeling technique, using ZBrush more for details and relying less on ndo. I'm happy with the result and that I got it done. Sorry to my massive following for the delay with a new post! (lol) Enjoy. I did the textures and modeling.

RoyalQuest Sword

I found a concept piece of 23 swords on Polycount. It's for a game I've actually never heard of before, but the swords were awesome. It kind of looks like a league of legends game style wise. I decided to do a more realistic look to it, instead of the hand painted style. The concepts are (I think) by a user on Deviantart named Kozivara. I did the model and textures. I want to make a shield to go with it, maybe I'll do that later.
